Special Features (Pros) of the Bowflex Revolution Home Gym

Not Weight Plate Based – Based on using elastic bands rather than weighted discs and/or plates allows you to have a smooth workout, one with little risk of falling weights or injuries from heavy loads.

Minimal Space Required For Full Workout – The Bowflex Revolution Home Gym requires minimal space, around 10 feet wide, 7 feet long, and 7 feet tall, to fit the home gym machine and the various accessories.

Easy to Assemble – Instructions are clear and concise to follow but require a minimum of two people. This is not a task to take as an “optional” second person.

Amazingly Quiet Operation – As this is driven without weights, there are no loud clanks, making this a perfect machine for apartments or spaces inside where you would like to work out but require peace.

Superior Warranty – 10 years! What other gyms come with a decade warranty? The answer is not many at all, and none with the history of Bowflex to know the company will still exist in 10 years to honor their warranty!

Drawbacks (Cons) for the Bowflex Revolution Home Gym

Swapping Discs Isn’t Simple – Changing to another disc isn’t a drop-and-run as they have with their kettlebell or dumbbell systems. This can lead to delays in changing exercises until you get the swap system down.

Price Tag Can Be Big and Imposing – Since this is a full-featured home gym, the price tag can turn people off, but given a ten-year warranty and the ability to perform 100 exercises allows, this system to be utilized for workouts for years to come.

What Customers Have to Say About the Bowflex Revolution Home Gym

I now own the Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbells, Bowflex SelectTech 5-1 Bench, Bowflex Bodytower, Bowflex Revolution and many other pieces of exercise equipment.

Out of ALL the pieces we own , nothing compares to the overall quality you get from Bowflex . The Bowflex I remember from the 80’s or 90’s was something you never told anyone you even owned.

I love this home gym . It works great for a large selection of different workouts. The DVD is very useful in helping demonstrate how to set up different exercises, however this can be complicated at times.

The resistance plates are not hard to place on the machine but can be difficult to take off at times. Overall this is a great machine for anyone looking for a home gym.

Picked this home gym up at a great price and have had only one issue that is fixable, other than that the mere fact of all the exercises you can do with this gym is great, i use it on weekends when i’m home and when not there i do 3 sets of 100 push ups every morning and sometimes repeat in the evening but i get a great workout every time i use this and wouldn’t trade it for anything and mine came with the weights upgrade. Amazing how these weight bands weigh so little but when connected to the revolution the resistance is on another level!

Final Thoughts on the Bowflex Revolution Home Gym

When trying to find your best option for working out at home, the Bowflex Revolution Home Gym is a perfect match for most as the next step is into the free weights and full-size gym racks like the Rogue RML-690C we spotlight here.

This will allow all but the strongest gym-goers to get a solid workout without needing a rack and thousands of pounds and dollars spent on free weights.

To use this machine, you don’t have to be a gym rat or a professional bodybuilder. This machine can be used as part of a rehab program or even for entry-level fitness programs.
