When Beachbody first hit the big time with Tony Horton and P90X the DVDs were sold and delivered to your home through infomercials.

Well as time has advanced so has the ability to deliver on-demand services that allow you the freedom to work out wherever and whenever you choose, so how much is Beachbody on demand?

The Beachbody On Demand service is $12.95 a month and provides users with the ability to do almost every Beachbody workout program streaming from their device, eliminating the need for a DVD or Blu-ray player, allowing any of these workouts to be performed whenever the subscriber has the time and ability to workout.

Many of you may or may not have done Beachbody workouts before and I can tell you from my love of P90X, Insanity, Body Beast, and many others there is a program here to fit anyone.

They offer some pretty exciting workouts that even align up with country music, just take a look here at the numerous options!

How Much Does Beachbody on Demand Cost Per Month?

Now that that video has you amped up you are probably wondering what this amazing service costs and how to sign up!

So, how much does Beachbody on Demand cost per month?

The Beachbody on Demand (BOD) service costs have three different brackets for your choice, and there is a 3-month plan, a 6-month plan, and an annual plan. The cost for these is currently $39 for 3 months, $59 for 6 months, and $99 for 12 months of service which auto-renew at the plan end.

Now depending on your investment in bettering yourself and the amount of money you have available, the cost is much less to sign up for the annual plan as this works out to about $8.25 per month, where the 3-month plan works out to about $13 per month which means you save by purchasing the longer plan.

How Do I Get Beachbody on Demand For Free?

Many shoppers online love to get a chance to try out a product before dropping their hard-earned money to make the purchase.

Why should a fitness program be any different, well in this case they have you covered!

Beachbody On Demand has a 14-day free trial where you can sign up and begin trying out workouts for absolutely no cost. Should you stay with the service after the 14 days you will be added into the 3-month plan, which does mean with sign up you will provide your credit card details.

Now many people will argue that having to give your credit card information out makes this less “valuable,” but it allows you to continue working out once you realize that this is the perfect program for you to start your journey to fitness.

Can You Pay Monthly for Beachbody on Demand?

When you choose to sign up for a service you will typically want to understand their billing terms and while you are used to monthly bills that is not how BOD service is handled.

So, Can You Pay Monthly for Beachbody on Demand?

No, you can’t do a month-to-month commitment with the Beachbody on Demand platform. You can do a 3 Month, 6 Month, or 12 Month plan which is auto-renewing and will rebill for the same time period. There isn’t a plan option with month-to-month billing available at this time.

This is why I suggest taking full advantage of the yearly plan if you are able to as this works out to a very large amount of money saved, almost $60 per year as I write this.

How to Get Beachbody on Demand

The best way is to click here and sign up directly on their website, if you are just interested in trying out the service you can choose a 14-day free trial.

The best option to sign up for though for the least cost is to pre-pay for a year in advance.

As you can see the plan comes with an amazing and vast trove of workouts to keep you motivated and changing for years to come.

Let’s dig in now that you know how to sign up and start to discuss what comes included to help you on your path to success.

Some of the Vast Array of Programs Available on BOD service

We will talk in-depth about a few of these workout programs which can help give you a feel for what a diverse range of options in the home fitness realm they can provide you.

P90X Home Fitness Workout - What is Beachbody on Demand

P90X Series

P90X as a series is more about a balanced approach to fitness which offers numerous weight and strength-related days mixed with cardio and yoga to help maintain flexibility.

P90X has gone on to produce 2 more workout programs and if you like the first by continuing on you have over 270 days of scheduled workouts!

Insanity Home Fitness Workout - What is Beachbody on Demand

INSANITY Series

Insanity is a max effort cardio blasting workout that will exhaust even the best athletes.

It forces you to work at max capacity and has short interval breaks which forces you to burn a tremendous amount of calories in each of his hour-long workouts.

Body Beast Home Fitness Workout - What is Beachbody on Demand

Body Beast

Unlike the previous two above programs, Body Beast is a muscle builder dream program focused on lifting big and heavy to build strong muscles.

Designed by Sagi Kalev this program is built around super-sets and is focused on hour-long workouts including warm-up and cool-down.

PiYo Home Fitness Workout - What is Beachbody on Demand

PiYo

Built by Charlene Johnson this is a combination of Pilates and Yoga to help you burn calories and move.

It is aimed at helping you work out without the high-impact moves of other programs to help lessen the chance of an injury.

PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with yoga’s strength and flexibility advantages.

We then crank up the speed to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that can help you lose weight and look defined.

CIZE Home Fitness Workout - What is Beachbody on Demand

CIZE

Aimed more at people who love to dance and are looking for a high-energy routine that can help burn fat and strengthen the muscles, CIZE is definitely no joke… I tried and failed big time no dance genes appears in my family!

Shaun T and his crew bring the dance studio to you to teach you real choreographed dance workouts.

You’ll have so much fun dancing and losing weight you’ll forget you’re actually working out.

LIIFT4 Home Fitness Workout - What is Beachbody on Demand

LIIFT4

A full weeks worth of workouts in only four days, how does that sound? That’s how efficient and effective these workouts are designed to be.

LIIFT4 is an innovative fat-burning, muscle-defining program that delivers exceptional results while taking very little time out of your life.

What is the Best Beachbody on Demand Workout?

I feel there is no right answer to this question as each person has needs they are looking to fill, for one it may be big muscles, for someone else it just might be fat loss.

And another may want to get dancing to have a good, fun, enjoyable workout without any specific goal other than being active.

That’s the thing that I love best about Beachbody overall is that they are focused on giving options to their customers and not about throwing out cookie-cutter programs like the crap you find on Amazon, RIPT90 I’m looking square at you, Beachbody puts years into their programs to make sure they are enjoyable and provide results.

Nutrition Programs

Each Beachbody program has a tailored nutrition program which is aligned to get you peak results. Within the Beachbody on Demand access you will have access to look into following the programs nutritional plan or look at any of the programs various plans to find one you find easy to follow.

Workout Schedules

Each program has a full schedule typically from 30-90 days and from 3-7 days a week, this will vary based on the program and your needs.

Find the schedule that works for you as this will ensure your ability to keep on track and on schedule.

BOD Community

A community of like-minded users is available to chat with and help each other maintain motivation. It also provides a way to help you work and see progress with others and maybe even if you choose to have a journal there.

What is the Best Beachbody on Demand Workout for Beginners?

If you are starting from zero and are really needing to find a way you could look at the precursor to P90X and go with P90.

Or if you like weights then Body Beast would be a good fit as this is just your weight lifting at your power levels so anyone can follow with ease.

If you want something or need something with less impact then I would focus on things like PiYo which is much lower impact and should help a beginner workout without getting an injury.

Does Beachbody on Demand Include Nutrition?

While they don’t provide food for you they do have very high-quality nutrition guides which can be followed for the entire program and typically adjust as you move through phases.

The nutrition plans typically will follow the phases of the workout plans and as the intensity ratchets up the food volume will typically increase to balance this out.

Others, like 21 Day Fix, actually utilize a container system to help you learn portion management.

What Devices Stream Beachbody on Demand?

There are a great many options from internet-enabled TVs that run android to laptops, desktops, phones, and more.

As long as your device can access the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store you will be able to download the app and have an internet connection.

My preferred use is on a phone (when I know the workouts and just want to keep a pace), or a laptop (when I need to actively see what they are doing).

However, a television would work very well if you were in your living room with something like a Samsung Smart tv.

Can I Download Workouts From Beachbody on Demand?

Well, what if I am going to be away from access to the internet you may ask and I will still want to get my workouts completed.

How or does the Beachbody on Demand program have access to download these workouts?

Yes, you can download workouts on your app on an iPhone or iPad through the Beachbody on Demand app itself.

This means that your laptop is a no, the limits are that you can download up to 7 workouts, and they stay accessible on the device for 14 days.

Hopefully, this will help you choose the BOD service as the best means to give you any workout any time you need it.

I would expect that every 7-14 days you would have internet access and be able to extend this timer for as long as you need it.

Can You Use Beachbody on Demand Without Internet?

As above as long as you have properly planned ahead and downloaded your workouts you have access for 14 days to those workouts.

If you don’t have the internet at all in 14 days anything downloaded into the app will no longer be accessible until you are back online again.

Is Beachbody on Demand Worth the Money?

For my wife and I, this was exceptionally inexpensive versus paying for a gym as even the YMCA around us cost over $100 for the two of us to be able to go work out.

This means that for the cost of one month at the Y, we were able to pay for a YEAR of Beachbody on Demand.

With the pandemic still in full swing and significant limits on the ability to go to any gyms, this has been an amazing way to maintain our sanity in times of total chaos.

My wife prefers the more cardio-oriented workouts while I prefer P90X and Body Beast so we are able to have our distinct choices covered and this ensures no boredom can creep in and cause you to quit.

Can I Share My Beachbody On Demand Account?

While there is no imposed focus that the account is solely for your use it needs to be noted that you paid for it for your use in your home.

Should you decide to share your account to others be aware that this may possibly lead to your account being terminated.

Can Multiple Users Use Beachbody on Demand?

There is nothing that states that multiple users can’t use the software app at the same time and at some times I have had it on my phone and transitioned to the laptop at the same time without seeing any issues.

As always make sure you understand the TOS and know that sharing your login means the possibility of account shutdown which you won’t be reimbursed for.

Is it Easy to Cancel Beachbody on Demand?

It is very simple to cancel your Beachbody on Demand account from any web-accessible device.

  1. Sign in to Team Beachbody using your Beachbody On Demand email address and password
  2. Locate your next Beachbody On Demand order (billing on) > Select “Click for details”
  3. Select “Cancel Membership” > Click, “Yes, Cancel BOD” > Select your downgrade option

You will have two options on how you can cancel your account, choose what works best for yourself.

  • Cancel Future Billings: You will have access until the end of your renewal period or 14-day free trial
  • Cancel Now: You will lose access immediately (refunds apply only if you are within the Money Back Guarantee period of within 30 days of the most recent billing)

Cancellation on the Free Trial

To cancel your Beachbody On Demand free trial, you must contact Beachbody customer support via online chat or via phone: (800) 470-7870.

Online chat works very smoothly and is typically faster than the phone where you wait for long periods for “The next available person”.

Final Thoughts on Beachbody On Demand

I love all the workouts around lifting big weights so Sagi Kalev and Body Beast and P90X are my all-time favorites to get a quick and solid workout in.

The only issue with Beachbody On Demand is more the additional gear, like weights, you will need to get maximum benefit from them.

I use Bowflex 552 dumbbells for my fast home workouts for ease of use and quick switch, and I’m looking to add on the 1090 SelectTechs later this year.

I only recently found out that they have a similar bar and curl bar that allows for dialing in weights which will make that my home gym go-to when not shooting for rack-style weightlifting.
